Smart money is quietly loading 5 stocks
We compared the 2026-06-30 13F filings (filed Aug 14-15) against 2026-03-31 for all five configured managers: Berkshire, Bridgewater, Citadel, Renaissance Technologies, and Two Sigma. Roughly 2,000 CUSIPs cleared the raw acceleration screen (more buyers than sellers plus either +25% Q/Q aggregate shares or two new opens). After stripping mega-cap retail favorites, sector ETFs, sub-$1B and sub-$10M ADV names, and cross-referencing against a low-retail-attention filter, five names survived. The most surprising finding: Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) drew simultaneous cold opens from Bridgewater, Renaissance, and Two Sigma in the same quarter — a rare cross-style consensus for a $90B financial infrastructure name that has quietly rerated. Berkshire's fingerprint appears in a starter D.R. Horton position (3,564 shares), tiny in dollars but consistent with the wider Berkshire homebuilder cluster (Lennar A +30% Q/Q, LPX held) and the signal quality the "block-buy" carve-out was designed to preserve. The remaining three — Atmos Energy, McKesson, Viavi — are 4/0 buys-versus-sells with aggregate share counts up 131%, 174%, and 220% respectively, and neither Google Trends nor news volume shows retail waking up.
ICE
Intercontinental Exchange IncThree of four non-Berkshire managers opened ICE cold in the same quarter — Bridgewater, Renaissance, and Two Sigma each moved from zero to a real weight while Citadel added 73% to its existing position. Aggregate holdings across the four funds jumped 253% Q/Q. ICE fits the Bridgewater 'financial rails' bucket (macro-neutral, fee-based cash flow) that Prince has been rotating into as macro dispersion widens, and the quant funds tend to open Bridgewater-style toll-road names when factor models flip toward quality-yield. The likely catalyst retail hasn't priced: the ICE Mortgage Technology segment finally clearing its integration overhang and fixed-income electronification volumes ramping into the 2026-Q4 print. Consensus still models flat organic growth in Mortgage; a beat there resets the multiple.
