Compared 13F windows 2026-06-30 (latest filings 2026-08-13/14) vs 2026-03-31. All five funds returned holdings — Berkshire, Bridgewater, Renaissance, Citadel, Two Sigma. Across 7,862 unique CUSIPs in the latest quarter, 871 passed the acceleration filter (net-buyers exceeded net-sellers, and either aggregate share count rose ≥25% Q/Q or ≥2 funds opened new positions). After excluding mega-cap retail favorites (AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOG, GOOGL, META, AMZN, TSLA), 869 remained. Five names shipped below. Each has ≥3 supporting funds, market cap over $10B, dollar ADV in the nine figures, and clears the retail-attention screen on the criteria we can measure.\n\nThe most useful finding is a non-finding: Buffett's headline Q2 adds — Delta Air Lines +44%, Lennar +30%, Macy's +141%, and the massive Alphabet Class A/C step-up — got no cross-fund confirmation. None of the other four managers added meaningfully to those tickers. That is either Buffett running his own idiosyncratic value + homebuilder thesis alone, or the quants correctly avoiding names Berkshire is buying for balance-sheet-parking reasons rather than upside. Where the panel DOES agree: three funds (Two Sigma, RenTech, Bridgewater) opened brand-new positions in Intercontinental Exchange the same quarter, and all four non-Berkshire managers materially accumulated Zoetis, Viavi Solutions, and NiSource. The Dow Inc. deep-value trade drew a 4x add from Two Sigma plus two fresh opens.

Thesis

Three funds — Two Sigma, Renaissance, and Bridgewater — all opened brand-new positions this quarter alongside a 73% add from Citadel. Simultaneous fresh opens across a macro shop and two quant shops on the same name is rare coordination and usually reflects a shared read of the setup: rate-cycle-independent revenue, structural rise in options and futures volumes, and a hardened mortgage-data + fixed income moat that competitors can't rebuild. TTM revenue is up 13% YoY on a 41% operating margin, and cash-from-ops is running at $3.3B per quarter. The catalyst retail hasn't fully priced is the September Fed decision setting up an equity-vol regime that pulls SPX/VIX options volume — and the associated data-fee revenue — through Q3 print.
